Algebra 2
Polynomials and Art Project
Project Description:
For this project we started by choosing a picture of a landscape that had obvious polynomials in it. For those who don't know, a polynomial is basically a curvy line. After we chose a picture of a landscape, we found two different polynomials we wanted to use, and transferred them onto a clear graph sheet. After the polynomials were transferred we found the points of each polynomial and also the maximum and minimum. Once all the proper calculations were done we took the polynomials and found something we could draw from it. I ended up drawing a baby dragon with my polynomials. Along with the before and after picture and our calculations we also wrote a math piece.

Semester 1 DP Update
Prompt: What piece of work, project, test or assignment are you especially proud of this semester from your Algebra class? Why are you proud of this piece? What did you learn from this item about your mathematics and yourself? Explain.
Response:
I am especially proud of my final exam. I am very proud of this piece because I put in a lot of time and effort into the review for this exam. I expected to get a lower grade than I did so I am very proud of the grade that I received. By taking the time and effort to do the review, and getting the grade that I did, I learned that hard work will pay off. I learned that even though math can be frustrating, if you keep working at it you will eventually understand it and in the end you will be proud of your accomplishments.
