Project Reflection
Doing this project, I not only learned how to make a children's book but I also learned how properly construct Spanish sentences with the little Spanish I know. I learned the correct forms of grammar and vocabulary. I also learned a bit about Costa Rica's culture! The most challenging part about this project was coming up with an interesting and entertaining storyline while also adding elements of the culture into it. The most enjoyable part of this project was illustrating and tying the book all together. I enjoyed this project and I hope our next projects turn out to be as fun as this one!

Del Alma Exhibition Reflection
The exhibition turned out to be a great success. We went to Needham Elementary to read our books to Spanish/English speaking students. One elementary kid would sit at a table and a group of three of us would rotate around to each kid and read their stories to them. The kids also had books that they brought for us to read to them. Some of these books were written in English while others were written in Spanish. At first it was a bit intimidating to go read to fluent Spanish speakers while we ourselves are just learning. After reading to the first kid, it became easier and more enjoyable. The only challenging part was that some kids did not speak Spanish at all so we had to translate our stories and the kids began to lose interest. The only recommendation to make this experience better is t have only fluent speakers or close to fluent speakers. Over all this exhibition was a great experience.
